Privatdozent, M.D. Ph. D. Dr. Daniel Neunhaeuserer

Dr. Daniel Neunhäuserer studied human medicine in Innsbruck and completed his PhD at the University Institute for Preventive and Rehabilitative Sports Medicine at the Paracelsus Medical University in Salzburg. Since 2012 Dr. Neunhäuserer works at the Division of Sports and Exercise Medicine of the Department of Medicine – University of Padova, where he also completed his medical specialization in Sports and Exercise Medicine. He is currently working there as Assistant Professor and researcher in the fields of sports medicine, functional/cardiopulmonary evaluation and physical exercise training/prescription. Meanwhile, Dr. Neunhäuserer completed also the Austrian and Italian Habilitation in Sports Medicine and Sports Science, respectively. He works as section editor of the EAPC Sports Cardiology Quizzes and is a member of the Scientific Board of the German Journal for Sports Medicine as well as of the EAPC-EXPERT working group. Finally, as program officer Dr. Neunhäuserer contributed to the foundation of Exercise is Medicine Italy, which seeks to advance the integration of functional evaluation and physical exercise into health systems as a standard in patient care for the prevention and treatment of chronic diseases.
