Prof dr Paul Dendale is cardiologist and specialised in cardiac rehabilitation. He is currently the chair of the department of cardiology in Hasselt, a large non university hospital in Belgium. He is professor of Cardiovascular\n pathophysiology at the University of Hasselt and Past President of the European Association of Preventive cardiology. His main interests are rehabilitation and prevention, and the use of new technologies to change behavior\n in patients and healthy people. He is participating in several large scale multicenter trials to explore the possibilities of digital health in preventive cardiology.<\/p>\n

His vision during his time as President of EAPC was to \u201cput lifelong prevention at the heart of cardiology\u201d, starting from very early in life until old age. His motto is \u201cwhy cure heart disease if you can prevent it?\u201d<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n
